是澳大利亚首都，位于澳大利亚东南部山脉区的开阔谷地上。原为牧羊地，1913年按规划始建，1927年联邦政府从墨尔本迁此。全国政治中心，以银行、饭店和公共服务业为主要经济部门，有铁路连接各大城市。旅游业甚盛。

Canberra, the capital of Australia, is located in an open valley in the mountains of southeast Australia. Originally a shepherd land, it was built according to the plan in 1913, and the federal government moved from Melbourne in 1927. Canberra has the Australian parliament building, the Australian High Court, the Australian War Memorial, the Australian National University, the Australian National Gallery, the Australian National Museum, the Australian National Library and the Australian Sports Association. The Australian army headquarters, as well as the main military education institutions, the Royal duntelun military academy and the Australian Defense Academy are also located in Canberra.

Canberra is a young city. More than 100 years ago, Canberra was a barren land in the foothills of Australia&39;s cosiasco mountains. It was discovered in 1820. After that, immigrants came to build pastures and developed into a small town in 1840. In 1911, the federal government passed a resolution to select this open space 238km away from Sydney and 507km away from Melbourne. This is the prototype of Canberra.
